"'I became interested in swimwear because it was something I always thought I should love, but nothing seemed to suit me,' says swimwear designer Victoria Carran. In response, she founded Simma Studios, aiming to create well designed, sustainably made swimwear. Carran says, 'Our first collection is about moments of rest. They are about the first swim of summer after a long day at work.' Simma's designs favour flattering simplicity, using chlorine and sag-resistant fabric with an SPF of 50+ and composed of 78% recycled materials. 'When I first tried one of the pieces on, for the first time in my life I wanted other people to see me in it,' Carran says. Her collection of two swimsuits, three bras and two briefs is sold through simmastudios.co.nz"
